Phil Johnson on the “emerging church movement,” again

For my friends who missed it, I’m reposting a link to a PDF copy of Phil Johnson’s excellent critique of the “emerging church movement.” If you haven’t read it already, please do take the time to read it with an open mind. At fifteen pages, it is fairly short but does a good job at explaining many of the basic issues and concerns.

Overall I believe that Phil Johnson has a firm grasp of the emerging church conversation. It’s obvious that he’s read the materials, interacted with blogs, and met people who are involved with it. In other words, he’s earned a chance to be heard, so in the spirit of charity and irenicism let’s hear what he has to say.
